Preds Top Pick Wilson To Stay In University
Predators prospect forward Colin Wilson, the seventh overall pick in last month's NHL entry draft, has decided to return to Boston University for his sophomore season instead of turning pro. There had been some thought the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Wilson might leave college after his freshman campaign and play for the Predators or for Milwaukee of the American Hockey League, in part because the 18-year-old was physically ready to play against older competition. But Predators General Manager David Poile said the team supports Wilson's choice to stay in school for at least one more year. Nashville will retain Wilson's rights.
